Visible injuries caused by an accident can make TBIs easy to miss.

By Emily Mapp Brannon, Virginia Brain Injury Attorney

When someone is hurt, we often focus on the injuries we can see such as cuts, broken bones and bleeding.  Sometimes those visible injuries are so serious and overwhelming that it is all the victim’s brain can do to just cope with the pain.  When the pain subsides some victim’s realize they have lost something more — brain function.  Our experienced Virginia (VA) brain injury attorney John Cooper examines such a case in which a nurse was badly injured during a bike accident when she was hit by a truck going 50 mph.
